When you install the Certificate Service on a server, it puts a .crt
file(name of file includes FQDN of server name + the name you gave for the
certificate authority) on the root of the C:\ drive(by default). On a
client-by-client basis, you can have users double-click on the .crt
file(you will need to send it to them), and have them add it to the Trusted
Root Certification Authorities store, in IE. You will know that it is
successfully installed by going launching an IE browswer and going to Tools
-- Internet Options -- Content tab -- Certificates button -- Trusted Root
Certification Authorities tab, and see the name you gave your certificate
service.
