The instructions below also apply to E2k3. Also, the Help is pretty good w
E2k3 in this respect. Some people try to put a password of some sort in the
"Remote MTA Password" field, when by default there is none. What exact
problem are you having?

For you to install X.400 connectors to Exchange 2000, your Exchange 2000
install
must be Enterprise. You need to install the X.400 Transport Stack prior to
installing the connector.

A) Open Exchange System Manager
B) Locate the Server Object where you want the X.400 connector to reside
C) Under the server object, expand Protocols and go to X.400
D) Right Click on X.400 and select NEW
E) Select the stack you want to create (Ex: TCP/IP X.400 Service Transport
Stack)
F) Name the stack whatever you want. Leave all other fields and values at
default.
G) Select OK to close the properties.
NOTE: You must have Full Admin rights at the Org level.

Common Problems:
1) Mail is not flowing in 1 direction over X.400 connectors.
The problem may be name resolution if not using IP address on the Stack tab
of the
X.400 connector. Use the IP address and make sure that you can communicate
to that IP
address on port 102.
2) Unable to see the Exchange 2000 server in the drop down box.
The problem is the either replication has not occurred yet through the
Config_CA or
that the Stack is corrupt and needs to be deleted and recreated. It may
take 60
minutes for the server to show up even after forcing Config_Ca to replicate.
