Ok- We may be on to something

ex1 - ex2

Cannot open Event Viewer of ex1 from ex2
Can open Event viewer of ex2 from ex1
NOW - ex1 locally shows nothing in the event viewer
Using remote admin tool Heyena - can see system events but
not security or application events

portqry responds with listening both ways - I have the
full response in notepad if you want it.
