Environment:
SBS 2003 R2, Exchange 2003
Windows XP client with Outlook 2003
Scenario:
User creates a distribution list and includes himself in the list.
User sends a message to the distribution list and gets the following
NDR:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: Test Distribution List
Sent: 1/19/2009 8:56 PM
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
First LastName (emailname@xxxxxxxxxx) on 1/19/2009 8:56 PM
The message could not be delivered because the
recipient's destination email system is unknown or invalid. Please
check the address and try again, or contact your system
administrator to verify connectivity to the email system of the
recipient.
<domain.com #5.1.2>
The recipient not found is the user that created the distribution
list and sent the message.
I have had another user attempt to recreate the issue, but it
appears to work as expected with this new user.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
Are you using a POP connector?
No POP connector.
OK - and is there any POP in the user's mail profile?
How did he or she add members to the Outlook DL? By typing them in or
browsing?
Is this user using cached mode? Is the offline address book downloaded
correctly? Any sync issues errors?
