Re: Vista + Outlook 2007 + Exchange 2007 Errors

Your question of why it only affects the clients it's affecting is the easy
one to answer. Outlook 2007 gets free/busy data from the availability
service, a web service. Outlook 2003 gets free/busy data from the good ol'
public folder method.

Try making sure that all of the folders under the system folder SCHEDULE+
FREE/BUSY have a replica on the public folder store on the Exchange 2007
server.

I installed Exchange 2007 and have it working in production with a couple
of
errors noted:

The first error only affects vista + outlook 2007 clients logged into the
exchange 2007 server account. It does NOT affect XP cleints with Outlook
2003 installed logged into the same account on the exchange server.

Free-Busy error when trying to see free-busy calander items from Vista +
Outlook 2007 cleints only:

These errors are logged on the exchange 2007 server.

Process 6096[w3wp.exe:/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT/EWS-1-128360112624949942]: Unable

find a public folder server for organizational unit (OU) FIRST
ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP. The service will attempt to find a random server,
which may take a longer time to service the request.

The Availability service could not successfully retrieve Schedule+
free/busy
data for one or more legacy Exchange mailboxes. To find the root cause of
this error, increase the diagnostic logging level of the MSExchange
Availability service.

To be honest, I am at a loss on what this error is and why it only affects
vista+outlook 2007 clients.

I also received another error this morning with the offline address book
on
my exchange 2003 server AFTER I had created and account via the new
Outlook
2007 GUI:

#1 - A new parent Legacy Exchange DN container value '/o=Platform
Solutions/ou=Exchange Administrative Group
(FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients'
was found during generation of the differential update file for offline
address list '\Global Address List'. This will force clients using this
offline address list to do a full download of the offline address list.

#2 - A new parent Legacy Exchange DN container value '/o=Platform
Solutions/ou=Exchange Administrative Group
(FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients'
was found during generation of the differential update file for offline
address list '\Global Address List'. This will force clients using this
offline address list to do a full download of the offline address list.

To solve this last error, I simply deleted the test account I had created
via the exchange 2007 GUI, rebuilt the address book and all is well again.

Are these known issues? And, if so are their any fixes I could try?

thank you all!
