Are you connecting over the Internet? A front-end server will not front-end
MAPI sessions. You probably want to configure RPC-over-HTTPS.

Hi,
I am running Exchange server 2003 with SP2 on Windows 2003 SP1 with Front
End - Back End configurations. I have setup everything as detailed in the
docs from MS site to set this up. My front end server is named as EX1 and
back end server is EX2.
When i try to configure MAPI profile giving the name of exchange server as
EX1, i get an error as below:-
"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must be online or connected to complete this action."
Thanks in advance for help.
Ashish
