We are using POP because this is part of the Email administrators plan to
transition away from our Unix-based POP solution. I dont know why we're
doing it this way, but even if I did, I couldnt change it. The

with changing the POP and SMTP settings in all these machines.

In that case you need to talk to the Novell management teams. They
will have a method of deploying the policy through Novell rather than
Active Directory based GPO's.
