Hi,
Thank you for posting here.
From your post, my understanding on this issue is: The IE window is notopened properly when you try to open a message from OWA. If I
havemisunderstood, please feel free to let me know.
In general, this behavior is mostly an IE client issue. The Internet
Explorer window size is set upon opening to the same size as whenit was
last closed. If you minimize Internet Explorer (click Minimize on the
System menu [globe icon on the left of the Internet Explorer title bar]),
right-click the Internet Explorer button on the taskbar, and then click
Close on the menu that appears, Internet Explorer may open in a smaller
window.
However based on my test, there is impossible to open a message with a
maximize window in OWA. The message window is expected to appear in the
upper-left corner of the screen. And currently, we don't have a way to
workaround this behavior.
To resize the Internet Explorer window, move the mouse pointer to the
lower-right corner of the Internet Explorer window, and then drag the
windowuntil it is the size you want.
Once the Internet Explorer window is the size you want, quit and restart
Internet Explorer.
You may refer to the following article for more information:
167099 Internet Explorer window may not open maximized

In the meanwhile, please let me know the following info as well:
1. Please confirm if the behavior occurs on all the OWA clients or just
some special one.
2. Test the problematic account on a proper working workstation.
3. Check the issue with a good account on the workstation in problem.
4. Compare the settings in the Internet Explorer between one good
workstation and a problematic workstation to see if there is any difference
that might cause this issue.
5. Reproduce the issue, and provide me with a screen shot as

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other concerns. Have a
nice day!
Best Regards,
Chace Zhang (MSFT)

| I am not sure where this issue resides, but I suspect it is more to do
with a
| setting in OWA or a registry setting. I have already tried a post last
| night on the IE board, but was told by MSFT to post here.
|
| (COPY)
|
| I am having the following issue:
|
| 1) Open OWA, and the brower window is full screen.
| 2) Open an item in the inbox, and the item opens off the page, with only
| about 1/2 showing on the screen.
|
| In IE, I know the trick that if the browser new window size was saved off
| the page, you can maximize the window, hold the CTRL key down, and then
close
| the window while holding it down to reset to always have the browser open
| full.
|
| I have tried that in OWA, even clicking the restore down button, hitting
| CTRL closing the window. THen opening a new item, maximizing then
hitting
| CTRL key to close...but it seems that no matter what I attempt, it I
can't
| get the new windows in OWA only, to open in full screen or at least the
last
| location they were at.
|
| Is the location saved in the registry, and the user can't edit the
registry
| for the setting?
|
| Anything might help!
|
| Thanks
| J
