Re: OWA 2003 - Come on Microsoft, support contacts in Public folders!!!!!

I'm dealing with users having very little computer skills, so VPN would
add another layer of complexity. Does your VPN approach would require
that each user have an office PC that they are using Remote Desktop to
run Outlook on? Some of our users do not even have a PC at the office,
as they work solely from home. For others, it would mean having to
leave their PCs on 24/7, right? Or can your VPN approach work without
users leaving their office PCs turned on? Maybe a Terminal Server
approach?

Thanks!

Just curious: how do business people using OWA share a master list of
contacts when using Exchange 2003? Does each user have to copy
contacts from a public folder into their own primary Contacts folder?
How do they handle contacts that get updated from time to time in the
public folder? Seems like something is missing here...

We don't use OWA; VPN from laptop/home PC into our network, use
Outlook/Exchange in the tradional manner (which provides full
functionality for "contacts in Public Folders").

So far, I haven't seen the downside of this approach. What am I missing?
