No, that is incorrect. A proxy account in Groupwise is a real mailbox.
Perhaps the following would provide a better description.

User1 wants to grant proxy access to User2. User1 goes into his options and
chooses to grant User2 proxy access. User1 chooses whether User2 can see
email, Calendar, Tasks, or whatever. After that is complete, User2 then
chooses to see User1's mailbox, and can only see what User1 allowed.

This same scenario would also apply to my previous "helpdesk" scenario.
There obviously is no user named helpdesk that has been hired, but I do want
there to be a helpdesk account, and want all helpdesk staff to be able to
check the email for this account.
