Hi,
I found the post below on a web newsgroups archive of this group - but the
thread isnt on this server any more.
Basically, I can't get Smartphone 2003 (2nd Edition) to sync to Exchange
2003 server - the error on the phone is "HTTP_500".
After following the advice in the thread quoted below, I found that by
changing the users primary email address to match the default recipient
policy it fixes the problem and syncs ok - the problem is, that I don't want
the email address of the user in question set to the default recipient
policy! We have a custom policy for certain users and I could only change
that for testing purposes, it must be set back now and so I'm still stuck
with the HTTP_500 error.
To explain further: we have 2 domains handled by this exchange server, and
two sets of users, each of which has a different domain. Clearly the
Exchange server was set up to "default", if that's the right term, to domain
"A", and the users which can't sync have email addresses in domain "B". The
way we have it set up, is with a default receipient policy for domain A, and
second custom policy configured for domain B that matches on the "Company
Name" field; so those users who have the right entry in that field in ADUC
get the 2nd policy, and an email address in domain B.
This setup has worked fine until we tried using Smartphone/ActiveSync! So
my question is, how can I get around this - how can I have two groups of
users with email addresses in differnent domains on the same Exchange
server, and still use Server ActiveSync? Have I just gone about this the
wrong way?
Thanks in advance!

This folder, and other ActiveSync properties only get created in the
mailbox once you have performed a successful sync against said mailbox, so
what you are seeing is normal.
Are you still getting http_500 on the device when you sync? If so, could
you check to make sure that your this users primary email address matches
the default recipient policy in Exchange.
