Hi there,
I have an exchange 5.5 server with one client having troubles reading
emails. When he clicks on an email, it will take anywhere for 10 secs to
a min to bring up. If he tries to delete a message or mark it as read,
same thing.
This server only has about 8 clients on it with the other clients
working fine. IF the user logs onto a machine that is working as
himself, outlook is still slow. He was on Outlook 2000, but I moved him
to outlook 2003, same issue. I renamed the outcmd.dat file on his local
machine - same issue. Deselected the messenger integration options in
options - same issue. Note msn messenger is not installed on this
machine. I have stopped all the services and ran:
eseutil /g /ispriv
That cut the priv.edb down about 1.2 GB, but he still has the same issue.
Has anyone ever seen this before? What brought this on was he had old
emails that he moved to a different folder in his outlook. We then moved
those messages to a pst file (he had a 1.4 GB mailbox, that is now down
to 50 K). To me this is an exchange problem, as the issue will follow
him where ever he goes.
Can anyone help me?
Ryan
