Hi Michael,

Thanks for your posting here.

The error 4.4.7 is likely related the issue on the receiving server. Please
first check the validity of the recipient address, and try to send a
message to the recipient with some other users through Outlook client.

To further clarify the issue, please perform the following trouble shooting
steps and collect the information:

1. Test the issue in the internal network with the same account via OWA.

2. Confirm this issue occurs on all the accounts or just some particular
ones.

3. Test the issue with problematic account on some other OWA client without
this issue, and test with a good account on the problematic OWA client.

4. Check if the issue occurs when sending messages to any recipient or
particular one.

5. Confirm if the issue appears when you send messages to the same
recipient through Outlook client.

6. Send me a copy of the NDR you received. You may send message to my
working email: v-asun@microsoft.com.

7. Try to send a message to a local user via OWA client with problematic
account and test the issue.

8. Use the Queue Viewer to determine where the messages are queued. Please
send me a screen shot the results. For more information about Queue Viewer,
please refer to the article below:

823489 How to Use Queue Viewer to Troubleshoot Mail Flow Issues
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=823489

9. Use the Message Tracking center to track the problematic messages. Send
me a screen shot of the result.
Note: You need to enable Message Tracking at first.

For more information, look into the following article:
821910 HOW TO: Troubleshoot for Exchange Server 2003 Transport Issues
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=821910

10. Please check the application and system event logs for warning and
error messages. Send a copy of the logs to me.

Hope this helps. Have a nice day!

Thanks & Regards
Alan Sun

I have not seen this problem elsewhere - maybe someone can help me
with it!

I'm running MS Exchange 2003 behind the MS ISA firewall. Firewall is
correctly set up to allow OWA from the Internet. Remote (Internet)
access to
mail, calendar, and all other OWA functions work perfectly... except
messages that users SEND while logged into OWA never arrive. When
users send
mail, the message ends up (as it should) in the Sent Mail folder on the
server. This is verified by opening the account in Outlook 2003.
However,
the mail is never delivered. Evenutally, after 2 days a message is
received
     stating:

     Reporting-MTA: dns;mailserver01.xxxxxx.com

     Final-Recipient: rfc822;xxxxxxx@xxxxxx.com
     Action: delayed
     Status: 4.4.7
     Will-Retry-Until: Sat, 10 Apr 2004 19:56:21 -0400
     X-Display-Name: xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxx.com

Mail from this account is transmitted normally when using Outlook
2003, but
never using OWA. What's going on here?
