Thanks for the reply, great info there. Started looking at SELFSSL from the
IIS6 tool kit. Was working over an example then spotted the default website
had a certificate install already.
The server in question is running SBS 2003 premium. The server
installer/admin im 99.99% sure wouldnt have installed this SSL certificate
so im wondering if SBS installs a self certified certificate itself during a
setup process.
IIS6 appears to host the following websites:
default web site (ssl enabled)
MS sharepoint admin (no ssl)
Share point central (no ssl)
Company web (ssl enabled)
1.Both company web and default web site appear to utilise the same
certificate "servername.localdomain.net" valid for 5 years. Looks like
something that was added automatically. Could one of these apps created
installed this certificate ?
2. My problem is that when working over the SELFSSL wizard i was asked "do i
want to replace the SSL settings for site ?".
Just want to check before ordering a cheap ssl certificate the effects of
replacing the existing one ? ( I have exported it just in case).
3. OWA index page (owalogin.aspx) appears to reside in c:\program
files\exchsrvr\exchweb\bin\auth. If this is the case i dont understand how
IIS can allow users to view this page. Can anyone explain ? (thought
publishing was via inetpub dir by default).
Thanks
Scott
