William are you saying that exchange 2003 will support public folder access on OWA lite?
Yeppers, that's what I'm saying.
I don't have much experience with Exchange Server 2007, so I'll have to defer to John on that.
From what I understand Mac users are forced to use OWA lite
Owa lite does not have public folder support for exchange 2007 sp1.
Let's clarify about OWA full and OWA lite. OWA full is *only* available for IE for Windows. OWA lite is for everyone else. That includes any other web browser, Mac or Windows.
So, yes, Macs can only use OWA lite. As for public folder support in 2007 I'll again defer to John. But trust me when I say it's there for 2003.
Someone mentioned Entourage - you say that Entourage will not support public folder access either if using Exchange 2k7. Is that correct?
This surprises me, but again I don't have much experience with Exchange Server 2007. Both Entourage and OWA connect to Exchange Server 2003 using WebDAV, which is why they share the same limitations. Possibly OWA in Exchange Server 2007 is using a different connection method.
