Re: OWA and Mac's

Thanks again. We are using TS regardless

To clarify, Exchange 2007 does not support PF's in OWA Light. Entourage
would give you access to PF's but with some limitations. Since you have TS
Server, I would recommend using that for your Mac users who need full access
to PF's.

William are you saying that exchange 2003 will support public folder
access
on OWA lite?

From what I understand Mac users are forced to use OWA lite
Owa lite does not have public folder support for exchange 2007 sp1.

Someone mentioned Entourage - you say that Entourage will not support
public
folder access either if using Exchange 2k7. Is that correct?

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi John!

We're either confusing terms or speaking about different things.

I *do* see public folders in the light version of OWA and we are running
Exchange Server 2003. The OP is thinking he needs the "full" version of
OWA to see public folders and I'm saying "no, you don't". Yes, this is
limited support compared to the full OWA client for IE on Windows but he
hasn't defined his needs yet.

Entourage will show no more in public folders than the light version of
OWA. The limits are that only mail messages, calendars and contacts are
available. If he can't get what he needs in OWA light then Entourage
will do him no better.

SJMP, you asked about Entourage: It is Microsoft's Exchange client for
the Mac. It is not a port of Outlook and does not support everything
that Outlook can do but it does support mail, calendaring and contacts.
Currently, Entourage for Exchange Web Services is in beta and this also
supports syncing tasks, syncing notes, GAL lookups from outside a
company network, enhanced Autodiscover, etc.
