I dont actually know :)
Let me rather say what need to happen. We have a current domain. In the
domain the users have e-mail adresses as user@xxxxxxxxxxxx - what need to
happen now is the @domain.co.za part must change to something else so it
will read as user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - does that mean i will create a new
domain or must i add the server to the existing domain?

If you are adding this Server into the same domain you do not need to run
ForestPrep or DomainPrep again. Also is there any need for it to be a DC?
Can you clarify if this is a new domain or you are adding this into your
existing Domain / Exchange Org.
