AD Replicate seems fine as I can create/delete users and it all
replicates, its just the users that are created in AD on the 2003
exchange servers do not get populates on either server with the email
addresses.
Yes, but it's not the /Exchange/ server, it's a domain controller,
that holds these values. Exchange is just using the information that a
DC returns to it.
and then the policy tick box is unticked in the EMC while
ticked in AD with 2003 tools. When we tick it on EMC, then the email
addresses appear and that gets replicated.
That checkbox is checked when the msExchPoliciesExcluded property of
the object contains this GUID:
msExchPoliciesExcluded: {26491CFC-9E50-4857-861B-0CB8DF22B5D7}
And it's cleared when that GUID doesn't appear in that property (or
when the property isn't present on the user).
If the box is checked when you look at it from the ADUC connected to
one DC and it's unchecked when you look at it with ADUC connected to
another DC then there's a problem with replication.
So if AD is fine, are you saying that all new users for now would have
to be set up on the 2007 server rather than the 2003 exchange/DC on
their local site??
No, I'm saying that there's a value that's not replicating from one DC
to another.
You can use LDP.exe to examine the user objects.
