but I can tell you that it failed the relay test as described
in the MS KB that I referenced earlier. Also, another piece of
evidence is the Queue for the server is filling up with strange and
unknown domains, (hinet.net, yimyam hotmail.kg.com etc).

After making the changes you recommended, the Event Log only shows
General Informational Event's (Event ID 1005) which appear to make
successful changes and additions to a metabase key.
