Hello All,
Is there a way that I can mask the email addresses that are allowed to send
to a distribution list.
That's already masked. Punters using Outlook/OWA etc cannot see
whether or not they are allowed to send to a DG,
The recipient of the email distro list can lookup
the address of the originating sender (From:) and actaully spoof that email
address to send spam to the distribution list.
1. Hide the members of the DG.
2. If you are worried about that person replying then deny him the
right to send to the DG. (A person can be a member of the DG but not
be allowed to send to it - which does deny him the reply-all right)
3. Worried about your spoofing thing. A recipient shouldn't be able to
send-as the original sender. If you protect the DG by only allowing
certain people to send to it you deny the anonymous right for someone
to send to it thereby pretty mich eliminating the potential for
spoofing.
Anyway to supress or avoid this or is this by design?
Thanks,
Altria
