Exhange 5.5

Hi

I have a exchange server 5.5 SP4, OS Winnt 4 SP6. It is generating
lots of spam/NDRs. Open relay is closed on the server. Server has no
virus or spyware. I have Norton client antivirus install on all the
client machines and exchange email scanning option is turned on. There
is no other antivirus scanning the emails. I have follwoing
questions.

- I think a client computer is generating all this spam/NDRs. Due to a
big network setup how can i identify the bad machine quickly?

Secondly, IMS "Outbound messages awaiting for convertion" queue is not
deleting the emails which have been delivered to actual person. It is
keep increasing and freezing the server. No one can send outbound
messages. I.e. I send an email to test email address, Test email gets
my email however Outbound message awaiting conversation queue still
show as Pending email. What can be done to rectify this problem

We are receiving inbound email however there is a delay on all
incoming emails.

Thanks is advance for the help
