What if he enters sales@xxxxxxxxxxx and presses Ctrl-K?

Hi all,
Server 2003/SP1 + Exchange 2003/SP2
I have a Distribution Group called sales@xxxxxxxxxxx and give an employee
Send of Behalf Of rights to this distribution. When the employee types
the distribution email address in the From field a NDR with the error
message "'You do not have permission to send to this recipient' " is
returned, however if the employee clicks on "From", selects the email
address from the GAL the email is sent without errors.
Is this normal behaviour and if so, is there a way of making it work when
the email address is typed into the From field rather then selecting it
from the GAL.
TIA
Greg
