Public Folder Instances

I have migrated all recipients and public folders from an Exchange 2003
clustered (active/passive) server to an Exchange 2007 mailbox server (SCC).
I also have another Exchange 2007 server configured with the Hub Transport
and Client Access roles.
In preparation for removing the Exchange 2003 Server, I am trying to get rid
of all the public folders on the E2K3 box. In Exchange System Manager, under
"Administrative Groups\<SiteName>\servers\<E2K3ServerName>\First Storage
Group\Public Folder Store, there is nothing under "Public Folders" folder.
However, there are four public folders listed under the "Public Folder
Instances" folder. What is contained in the "Public Folder Instances"?
When I right-click on any of these four and click on "All Tasks|Remove
Replica", I get the following error message:
Can not remove the selected replica(s) because a public folder must have at
least one replica.
ID no: c1038a26
Exchange Syatem Manager
As long as these four public folders (or replicas, or whatever they are)
exist in that "Public Folder Instances" folder, I cannot remove the public
folder store. What do I need to do to get rid of these?
Thank you very much,
.
