Re: Distribution group restriction

that's not accurate...if "Group 1" has restrictions on it, and it belongs to
"Group 2", if someone who does not have permissions to send to "Group 1"
sends an email to "Group 2", he should get an NDR stating that he does not
have permissions to send to "Group 1"...that's how it works on my
system...Exchange 2003...and I'm sure that's the way it would work on any
version of Exchange...

I have a distribution group that has message restrictions from only certain
users (Group 1). This group also is member in another group, without
restrictions (Group 2). The question is: if somebody sends an email to
Group 2, the Group 1 members will receive it? The question is because
we
have this configuration and somebody told me that an email sent to Group 2
was received by Group 1 members despite of the restriction.

Thanks for all your help.
