We run Exchange 2003 configured for OWA. Some messages are not shown when
accessed from IE or any other browser. Not all messages behave like that,
but only some of them. When clicked on, I get HTTP 404 Not Found error and
no contents is visualized, empty page with the description of 404 error.
What could be the problem and how to resolve it?

This is usually caused by URLScan objecting to message subjects with certain
characters in; most notably the colon (:) and the percent characters (%).
See if you can find a URLScan.ini file on the server.
