Upgrade to Exchange 2007. Seriously.

Hi,
we currently have an Exchange server 2003. We want to have a second
Exchange server on another location in case that the first one become
unavailable/broken/dead...
In fact, I would like to:
1- Have a replication of the server one on the server two almost in
real time (no email or data lost! (backup!))
2- Then if the server one become unavailable, I would have the
possibility to start the server two to become the new running server.
Is this possible? Without clustering? To have an easy recovery
solution for our Exchange 2003 server?
Thx,
Alex
