No I don't have an edge server. I think I worked around the problem by
adjusting our existing SPAM filter. We plan on getting a Symantec Mail
Security Appliance. I know the Brightmail product checks with AD to make
sure the email account exists. I hope this product does the same thing.

Not that I know of.
Write your own transport sink perhaps.

Are you using recipient filtering?

If so, then the only NDRs you should be generating are for mailboxes
over their limits and things like that.
