Re: What's happened to Microsoft Support?

Many Web sites assume that everyone has enormous capacity, and MS is
certainly as guilty as anyone on this respect. But the page in question is
actually very simple. Can you tell if the error message is generated by the
server (e.g. because it is temporarily malfunctioning), or by your browser
(e.g. because it can't resolve the server name)? It doesn't look like a
typical browser error. Are you using IE?

Just tried again and got this:
An error occurred rendering the requested content.

URL: /support/contact/default.asp?SD=gn&LN=en-gb

The operation has timed out

My internet link is slow (232Kb when I tested it just now), but I can
reach
every other site I've tried. Have they put so much active content ton the
pages that only fast broadband can reach them?

The link seems to be okay now (at least is was just now when I tried it).
If had a few Page Not Founds on the MS site in the last few days. I can
only assume that things are being moved around a bit. Again.

Sorry to post this here, but I can't find a forum for the Microsoft
website.
I was just looking for an answer to an exchange problem and I found
a
link
to
a knowledge base article. I clicked on it and got a 'internet
explorer
cannot
display this webpage' message. I tried going to microsoft.com then
clicked
on
'support' and I now get a new floating menu with little pictures for
Knowledge base etc -if I click on any of them I get a completely
blank
page
in ie6 or firefox, and a 'cannot display this page' message in ie7.
What's
going on? This is the same from any PC or server in my organization.
Is
anyone else geting this problem. I can't contact Microsoft as the
contacts
link doesn't go anyhwere either!
