POP3 is one option, but typically the last.
There is of course BES (Blackberry Ent. Server) which is the best solution. This offers push email and wireless sync of calendar, contacts, tasks, etc.
If you only have a need for a few users, check out BB Express.

Another solution is BIS (Blackberry Internet Service). This is a free service for BB users that offers wireless email. But it does not wirelessly sync Cal, Contacts, Tasks, etc. You still need to cable up to your PC and sync with the BB desktop client.

We use exchange 2003 and a couple of our users are beginning to use Blackberry's. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like we would need to by the blackberry server and client software to support them since we don't use pop3. Which leads to another question. Is it best to not use pop3 with exchange for security reasons?
