You should only set it to Unlimited Connections if you have lots of OWA
users (i.e. thousands), otherwise too many hardware resources will be
allocated to IIS, and not enough to Exchange. How many OWA users do you
have? Is it just the 10 Blackberry users that you mentioned earlier?

Sorry about that. I saying the server is not set to unlimited
connections. Should I check off unlimited connections. Also 98% of the
lof file is 443 communications to an outside ip addresses.

Thanks
Scott

I'm sorry, I can't make out your last sentence :-) . Are you saying
that you already have it set to Unlimited Connections, or asking if you
should set it to Unlimited Connections? Either way, it depends on how
busy you think your server is. It just allows you to dedicate more
server resources to IIS.

Can you see lots of logged lines with /Exchange and /exchweb in that log
file?

Lee,
I looked in the log files for IIS. I saw the same type of access over
and over port 443 with different users and the times are just 30secs to
1 minute apart. That is the only thing I saw. Should I look for
something else. Also I checked that website you sent me originally. THe
instructiosn for performance tab, is that to set unlimited conections.
Is that what they are suggesting.

Thanks
Scott

The Page File is supposed to be about 1.5 times the physical RAM. I
like to set the max and min sizes the same, so that the server is not
constantly resizing it.

I do notice that the pagefile is getting really big. The C drive does
not have a pagefile due to the size of the c drive. The d drive is
where the file is located. Also if I set a limit on the pagefile I get
a virtual memory error. If I let the system manage the pagefile. It
gets really big as high as 12gb but after 24hrs that is when the iis
give the error.

Hard to say what's going on, but it sounds like the server is
developing a resource problem. Try doing an IISRESET and see if it
fixes the issue. If it doesn't, then do a reboot. Then, start your
Task Manager, and see if the server's memery is gradually being
consumed. If memory usage does indeed appear to rise constantly,
then see which process is using up memory at an ever increasing
rate.

Lee,
Here are some of the issues. I have a Windows 2003 smallbusiness
server with SP2 on it and Exchange 2003sp2 also. I ran all the
updates on the server. I have a c drive of 12 gigs of ram and 3
gigs of free space and an additional d drive with data. I have AVG
email scanner on the server. Also a sonic firewall for the
internet. I also have about 10 blackberry's that connect to the
server using OWA to get email. I scanned the server for
viruses, spyware and rootkits ALL Clean. This problem has been
going on for about a month now. The only way to clear it up is
restart the server, or restart IIS.

I am having an IIS problem with my server. My IIS server runs for
about 24 hours then comes up with the prompt error 500.13 Web
server is busy. What should be next step for testing or
troubleshooting.

Thanks
