change default Global Address List

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Does anyone know how to change the view for the default Global Address List?
we just created a new address list and want to make this new Address List the
default GAL that comes up when someone clicks on the TO field in Outlook.
I would like to roll this out automatically to my user community and not on
an individual basis. is there another option besides a VB script? maybe GPO?
