Re: Masquerading Server Name

No, it means it was tagged for Spam or virus content. Do you have SPF
record for your domain? Why don't you use a Smarthost such as your ISP's or
filtering service? Check your PTR Record at www.dnsstuff.com to insure its
correct. Also check to insure you are not blacklisted. To have your
internet header show your FQDN, input under FQDN on the Advanced Delivery
Options in your SMTP VS. Do not use Masq domain.

I got the following bounce mail when sending an email to a particular
domain:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

j***@a**.*** on 2/25/2008 9:52 AM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's
email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<EXCHANGE2003.ourdomain.com #5.5.0 smtp;554 The message was
rejected because it contains prohibited virus or spam content>

What does that mean?

Btw, I'm using Exchange 2003 with SP2. My server sends out messages
directly to the destination (there's no smarthost in between). Is it
correct to guess the above problem is caused by their server checking for
PTR record but it doesn't match?

I sent a test mail to my Yahoo mail. Here's the detailed header of my test
mail:
Received: from 1.2.3.4 (EHLO EXCHANGE2003.ourdomain.com) (1.2.3.4)

where 1.2.3.4 is my mail server real IP address
1.2.3.4 resolves to MAIL.ourdomain.com (PTR record)

If this is the case, how can I configure my Exchange to hide its real name
and use MAIL.ourdomain.com instead?
