exchange 2003 SP2

We deliver outbound mail to Postini and they deliver it forward.

The mail sits on our exchange server for about 7/8 minutes before it is
delivered to Postini. Cannot seem to find what the issue iz.

This is moslty happening with one specific domain where we send lots of work
orders.

Any ideas? Thank you.

I don't know if this applies, but we've seen something similar that appears to be related to Postini, too. We don't use the Postini services, but we have cases where one email is sent out to a hundred or more recipients at once (I work for a government office, and they sometimes send out press releases to just about everybody!). They're to multiple email domains, but in several cases the multiple mail domains resolve to the same server at "postini.net". Our email gateway (a McAfee appliance) attempts to send all the email that goes to the postini system at the same time. However, when Postini sees the multiple email domains on the same transmission, it kicks back a 4xx error and aborts the transmission. Later, our system will then retry (starting with the first one that failed). Sometimes it will take several hours for all the recipients to get the email.
