James,
I tried this step for step but it did not re-create the exchange virtual
directory, is there something I'm missing?

Seems odd, especially if it only happens when you use SSL. Have a look in
your IIS log and see if you can work out which verb caused the error.

Lee,

Now that my DNS server has the correct address my URL seems to work fine
except for 1 thing, when I use the Https SSL sign on I get this error
below.

The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method
(HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.

I wanted to simplify the URL my remote users use to open OWA. I have a
(A)
record for webmail that points to my public IP address that is used
for
my
exchange server . This is located on my external DNS servers, I also
have
a
SSL cert from go daddy that uses the webmail.XYX.com URL. When I setup
OWA
and go to IIS's default web site and go to properties> home directory i
have
chosen the redirect to a URL and put http:\\webmail.xyx.com/exchange
but
it
does not redirect, I get page cannot be found. I have also chosen on
that
page the radial button a directory below this one and make permanent. I
have
retarted the IIS but still no go Am I missing something? I aslo have
tried
the TCP header info as webmail.xyz.com Anyone have any ideas what I'm
missing

Brian

What URL is shown in the browser's address bar after it has been
redirected,
and the 'Page not found' message is being displayed?

Lee.
