Don't discount the "uninstall" directories for hotfixes and O/S
service packs. If you use WSUS there may be files left over in that
app's directory, too. Both of those can take up quite a bit of disk
real estate.
Check the system32\logfiles directory, too. IIS log files, SMTP log
files, etc. older than a few weeks aren't usually very useful.
What about the size and number of the message tracking log files?
Moving those from the C: drive might free a few gigabytes, too.
