Hi,

What's your disk config?
I have 1 disk partitioned into 4 ( a 55mb FAT EISA config, C, NTFS 10gb boot partition, d: 59gb NTFS Pagefile partition, and e: a 68gb system partition. 85%,52%,73% and 10% free respectivly. All PArtitions are of a BASIC type and are Healthy.

Were users *not* experiencing any problems before you upgraded the RAM ?
Yes, This problems was not around before the RAM upgrade.

What SP on Exchange?
Sorry, been trying to find this out, but not having much luck. Any ideas were I can find this information for you?

What version & SP of Outlook, and are your users in cached mode?
were are using 2002, 2003, and my new laptop has 2007 ( all having the same
problem). All bar one user is in cached mode ( I turned the other one off to
see if that "cured" the problem, but no joy).
All machines are fully Service packed up and are Running Windows XP.

Thanks again, and I hope the information I could give you helps.

Hi,
I have a Windows 2000 Server which has just been upgraded to 4gb,
since then, users have been getting the message that " Outlook is
reteriving data from {exchange Server name}".
I've got the users to empty down ther Inboxs and folders, empty there
recycle bins and I've compressed the mailboxes, but I still get the
same message.

I know with other versions of the Windows 2000 server (Advanced,
datacenter and Standard edition)

No, not Standard...

you can go into the Boot.ini and add
the /3GB switch, but is there something similar I can do with my
server version, or is there another way to stop this mesage from
appearing?

System Properties :-
Microsoft Windows 2000 5.00.2195 with Service Pack 4
Intel (r) Xeon CPU 2.40Ghz AT/AT Compatible
3,931,632 kb Ram

Many Thanks in advance for your help
