Updates on this case.

I was able to create outlook profile and able to connect to the exchange
server. but, constantly Microsoft Outlook Password -Enter Password
Username
Password
Domain Name Shows up and I have to click cancel and
access the emails. Is there a way to suppress the pop up or something I
missed?

Thank you.

Hi Niv,

thanks for your help. I tried to do what you suggested and I was unable to
add the
user to the another domain' domain admin group as I can only select this
user to his own domain's domain admin group.

BTW, I created another account in the trusted domain and created the
disabled account in the trusting domain and associate to this account. I was
able to configure the outlook but now I could not connect again due to the
pop up screen for username and password?

Any idea? I am totally lost now.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jhon,

this sound's like a security issue when the outlook trying to match(search)
the directory.. i suggest you try a to take one user and make him domain
admin in the other domain, see if he able to connect the mailbox, if this
work let me know i will explain you how to configure security permissions
between the domains.

Hi all,

I set up two way external trust between these two seperate domains A & B(in
two seperate forests and functional level in windows 2000 native) and also I
associate an exchange 2000 mailboxes according to KB278888. Now, I try to
configure outlook for the users in domain A to access the exchange servers in
domain B, it always pops up the screen for username and password. I do not
know which step I miss? Should the username and password pop up
when you configure outlook(the assocated account has been set up)

Thanks very much.
