Re: Exchange 2003 backup keep failing at same point

In line 0010: 00 00 00 00 0c 02 00 c0 the last four bytes are the status
code

Read 0c 02 00 c0 as C000020C

C000020C = STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED

ugh. Restoring from backup should be the first option. eseutil with /p
is "destructive" .

:( we didnt have a backup at that moment! that's why I use esetuil /p.
anyway it's bring the info storage back.

To give more background information. We are using iSCSI + NetApp filer to
save all information storage database. The iSCSI drive basically mount as
another partition on the exchange server. Back to mid August, the backup
starts to fail with this issue and finally 3 weeks ago the iSCSI drive
keeps
dismount itself when exchange try to start the information storage
service.
Fortunately after I ran esetuil and isinteg, the database comes back and
exchange works again. But til now we still cant get the backup done if we
choose to backup to a network place.

If I were you I would bring up another server or move all those
mailboxes to another store ASAP.

Yes, I especially hate the iSCSI idea! But so far I stuck with it. We dont
have another server and cant find a SCSI harddisk (Dell PwrEdge 2650)
bigger
than 30G. Anyway, I need to work out why the backup failed. The log files
are
growing out of control. Otherwise maybe time for me to work on my
resume...
