Re: Supress Blackberry bounce messages

I have several users on Blackberrys. In Exchange 2003, I forward a
copy of their mail to their blackberry address, but when there is a
large attachment, the blackberry copy is bounced by the blackberry
server. While that's no big deal, the problem is that Exchange
forwards the bounce message back to the sender. That makes many
sender think that the message bounced entirely, even though the user
did get the message (and attachment) in Outlook. Is there a way to
supress the bounce messages from being forwarded back to the sender?

Nope, not that I know of. You're doing a forward, and that's how it works.

Rather than using the "forward" method, I suggest you look into BES (
Blackberry Enterprise Server). I think they have a small business version
that covers up to 5 handhelds. This will also allow them to wirelessly sync
calendars/contacts/whatnot, and their sent items will sync too.

If you get the users on Windows Mobile devices instead, they won't need
BES....they can use direct push/AUTD.
