Exchange 2003 (SBS)
I've been banging my head against the wall on this one for some time today.
Auto-reply on mail-enabled public folders works like a champ internally. However, when emailing from the Internet there mail arrives in the public folder, no problem. Just no auto reply is sent.
I've gone into Exchange System Manager and set the permissions on the folder so that everyone under the sun has Send As permissions but still no joy.
I also edited the registry to display IPM.Post as IPM.Note so that the messages appear as emails instead of posts. Thought that might've had something to do with it. I restarted the information store after making this change. Again, no joy.
I'm kind of urgently trying to resolve this so anyone with any ideas? Much obliged.
You have to allow auto-replies to the Internet in ESM under Global
Settings.
