Are you sure it isn't EHLO that's rejected?
I get 500 5.3.3 unregonised command.
This is my first exchange 2007 server - is this normal?
It is is you use that #(%*#! Cisco PIX firewall with the MailGuard
feature enabled. That one feature has been the cause of more problems
than it ever prevented.
