With both thresholds set to nine you will filter little spam.
With the thresholds I quoted you will have SCL 6 emails going to the Junk
folder and emails and SCL 7 to 9 deleted+archived.
You should consider these as a starting point. You may want to lower a bit
the Store Threshold or raise the Gateway threshold.
The articles can help you in getting the thresholds right:

Can you tell me what happenes with these numbers being selected as
opposed
to setting them to nine.

I have installed the IMFv2 and enable IMF v2 updates on my Exchange
2003.
I
have recently noticed an expodential increase in the spam that I have
been
receiving and have considered adding a 3rd party product. I am not sure
if
the free IMFv2 has the capabilities that I need because the spamers are
more
safisticated, or my IMFv2 may not be configured correctly.
Does the IMFv2 have the capabilities stop spam from coming into your
telephones.? (We have enabled the Microsoft Direct Push technology to
sync
with our telephones? I receive a lot of spam on my phone.
Does the IMFv2 have the capabilities to detect the spam embeded in pdf
files
or jpgs?
What should the 2 thesholds be set for the IMFv2 filter?
Thanks,
George
