the user has been with the company since before a network was in place.
Original account was under NT/exch5.5 and transitioned over to the current
2003 mixed mode environment.
Is there a checklist of items to go over to ensure I have no problems?

some issues...it depends on how it was created, originally, and how many
other things might need to be changed so the user does not lose any of his
network access...

Thanks for the info Mathieu.
Susan
The AD account name and current alias are both peter. What are the issues
if I change the alias to FirstInitialLastName?
What if I change the Account Name and Alias to both show
FirstInitialLastName? Are there any issues to be aware of with this
change?

in Exchange 2003, under the Exchange General Tab, is there any issues I
should be aware of with changing the alias listed there?
I have an original network users whose alias is his first name (peter)
assigned years back when the company was much smaller. Since then
we've
moved to First Initial Last name as the alias (i.e. psmith). I am
having
a
problem with a network copier, which is setup to authenticate users
before
allowing them to send a scanned image. I've never heard up an issue
until
"peter" walks up the the machine and it won't authenticate him. I
tracked
it
down to the following: if the alias is first name (i.e. peter) it won't
work.
If i change it to First Initial Last name the function works as
designed.
Before changing the Alias name I want to check and make I'm not opening
myself up to more problems.
Thanks in advance
