Can you find a file MachineKeys.old?
Copy it to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys

Hello,

We have one Exchange server 2003 SP2 running on a Windows server 2003 SP1
platform. We have one domain and one storage group, with one data bank
(the default that we got after installation).

We have tried to move our Exchange server to new hardware, basicaly :

- backup the database with ntbackup
- stop the old server
- reset the old server account
- install Exchange server on the new machine with /disasterrecovery switch
- restore the database.

Unfortunately, for some reasons, we have been unable to restore the
database from the backup. We had to revert to the old machine :

- stop the new machine
- reset its account
- start the old one
- change it to workgroup
- join the domain again

This seems to work, but I have a few concerns now :

There is a message with event ID 9021 saying that new security keys have
been generated and that passwords must be reentered : What passwords are
we talking about here ? what if I do nothing ?

Second, from now on when I restart the old server, the bank of information
is not mounted : I have to mount it manually. Is this related to the above
message? How can I make it mount automatically ?

Thanks by advance,
Vincent
