Re: public folders are not all in sync

Thanks Ed. I will shut down the store on the old 2003 box. I have moved the
Network Administrator mailbox and the Spectra Postmaster mailboxes and left
everything else alone. I will ask the former employee that set up the first
Exchange 2003 server about the calendar connector.
One thing I did not mention is that there is still a 5.5 server on our
domain and this first 2003 Exchange server is running the Site Replication
Service. Any advice on what to do with that, or should I start a new post?

Yes. If the server is 200x, then just dismount the public store.

Attendant. These I believe I do not move.

Administrator mailbox. I also believe that the Spectra Postmaster and
Network Administrator mailboxes are supposed to be moved.

The option to move
the mailbox is not available on the calendar connector. What do I do with
that?

I don't know. I am not familiar with that add-on. I recommend that you
post a separate question about that.

And what if I now see NO status on the replication status details window?

Dismount the store or stop the IS and see if users can see content. If the
content is there, you're good to go.

post
saying something along the same lines about replicating public folders.
They
recommended removing and re-adding the replicas which I did. I also set
the
replication interval to always run. I don't have very many folders so I
am
not worried about traffic.
Now when I check details, there are no servers in the list at all on
the
ones that i did.
How do i take the public folder store off line?

reliable
indicator. The best way to determine whether content has replicated
is
to
connect to take the old server's public store offline and see if users
can
see all their content. That will also help you determine whether
Outlook
clients are pointed to the correct public store (the new one) now.
Don't
trash the old machine until you're sure that everything has
replicated.

I have installed a new Exchange Server 2003 to replace two that were

disk space. I have moved all mailboxes and setup replicas of public
folders
and system folders. I have uninstalled the second server but am now
in

process of removing the first 2003 Exchange server in the admin
group.

following kb/822931. When I verified public folder replication
status i

that only a few of the folders are in sync. Other folders are in
sync
on
some
servers and not on others.
Also, I am running in a mixed mode environment. I have one 5.5
server
left.

Any ideas?
