Hi Andy,

The first many thanks for all.

I need a procedure for Exchange 2007 , Exchange 2007 has only one dataabase
*.edb it is not *.stm ,and it has logs files the same with Exchange 2003.

Yes, thats why I said "This still applies even though its for 2003.
Ignore the part that refers to the stm file of course since it no
longer exists in 2007" :)

I have the next questions?

a) Do I need create a restore storage group?

Probably not.

b) Can I copy the database *.edb in the original database *.edb?

Probably.

c) Have I that stop any services for this action?

Not typically. Only the store has to be mounted.

I think that the best solution is understand all steps for implementing the
backup files y open teh mailbox that it contein.

Can you help me in this task, please? :>

Take a look again at the KB article I posted before. I dont know the
status of your stores, if they are in a clean shutdown or not etc...
If they are, you can typically simply copy the files into the correct
directory and mount the store.
If you are unsure on how to proceed, you may want to call Microsoft
support (PSS).

Hi Andy,

Then If I enable that option in EMC under properties of the store( Allow
backup to overwrite) i can mount the database *.edb, i will be very
grateful if you write all the steps that i will need for this action, it is
very
important and urgent please :>

I need a solution within commands the best solution now for me is graphical
and i think the best solution is the allow backup to overwrite, the problem is
i not understand the best steps.

If the store is in a clean shutdown state, its really a matter of
copying the files into the existing directory and starting the store.
This still applies even though its for 2003. Ignore the part that
refers to the stm file of course since it no longer exists in 2007

mailboxes.

I need help please and many thanks for all.

By default , you can not overwrite a store with a backup.
If you enable that option in EMC under properties of the store( Allow
backup to overwrite) or in powershell:

"Set-MailboxDatabase -Identity <database Identity> -AllowFileRestore
$true ", does it allow you to mount it?

(database identity will be 'server\storagegroup\store' )

Your event logs should tell you more.
