RPC over HTTPs can only be used for Outlook 2003 or 2007.

I am reading up on how to implement RPC over HTTP on Exchange 2003
(running on a win2k3 server) for my users with laptops & all the
scenarios seem to be for front end/back end servers.
I have one exchange server.
What scenario would I follow?
I really don't need a front end & a back end server to make this work,
do I?
I only have between 80 & 100 users!
Also, assuming I can get this to work in my environment, will this
work for my users with Outlook 2000?
Any advice appreciated!
Tink you veddy much...
