Re: Services logging in

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Event ID 2152 (I get this one as well)
Process w3wp.exe (PID=4072). An remote procedure call (RPC) request to the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service failed with error 1753 (Error 6d9 from HrGetTopologyVersion). Make sure that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is running. In addition, make sure that the network ports that are used by RPC are not blocked by a firewall.

I have an Exchange 2007 Enterprise server running as a member server.
An initial installation was done, then upon reboot we had the "IS service
won't start because it doesn't list the correct dependency" problem which is
now known.
Of course the server lost its mind until we found out that that was the
problem, but for some odd reason, the other services began going downhill
before the change was made.

Now,

most of the services need an actual AD account to log in with, and that
works, but the IS and SA services will not start with that account
(remember - all the other services start with that account and run fine so I
don't believe its the AD user account).
The IS and SA services will ONLY start with the System account.

With this being said, everything is running. I did have to fix OWA but even
that is running. We can log in and use Exchange using both OWA and
Outlook2007

but

no one can send any mail to anyone, even locally on the same server (there
is only one Exchange server - period).
In Outlook 2007, all mail sits in the Outbox.
In OWA, all mail goes to the Drafts folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

What logging have you enabled ? What errors are listed in the event
logs ?

More info please would help. On a clean boot what event are logged ?
