Outlook cannot connect to a mail-enabled user, so I must assume that you
mean tha tyou created a mailbox-enabled user.
The first thing you will need to verify is that DNS and NetBIOS name
resolution is working on the client, i.e., that the client can resolve the
name of the server.

I need some help folks.
I have recently created a new mail-enabled user. This also includes
existing
users. Our email environment consists of an Exchange 2003 Ent running on
Win2K SP4. When I try to create an Outlook profile for the user, I get the
error listed above. I can ping the mail server by both name and IP
address. I
have flushed DNS on the client machine + mail server, but to no avail. I
can
connect to the mailbox via OWA. The only thing that has changed recently
in
our environment is that we transfered some FRS roles.
Any clues?
Thanks in advance.
