Thanks Rene,
Yes I understand that you cannot change password using RPC over HTTPS;
however my end users are complaining that they dont get any warning before
their passwords expire. I simply want them to be notified before they
expire, I was wondering if exchange has something like PEWA, i know PEWA was
intended for exchange 2000.

Pewa does sort of a two step process.
1. Scans AD to gather a list of users whos passwords are about to expire
2. Uses this list and looks for Exchange Attributes to find out how to send
the
user mail that his password is about to expire.
It 's not possible to change passwords with rpc over htpp.
So you have to do this in OWA:
895276: When you use Outlook 2003 to connect to your Exchange server mailbox
by
using RPC over HTTP, you receive messages that continuously prompt you for
your
network password

Hi.
Here's the problem.
I use Exchange 2003 server with RPC over HTTP (https). And the clients are
not connected to the domain. They use outlook 2003 through RPC/SSL to
connect to the Exchange server. Since they are not a connected to the
domain
they are not getting password expire notification from the server when
they
logon.
I've read that Microsoft's PEWA should work with exchange 2003. But has
anyone tested it? It should be included in the Exchange 2000 Resource kit,
but I can't find it on MS site, where can I get it?
Anyone got any recommendations or ideas? Are there any other tools or
scripts I can use?
Thanks...
